Growing up in the Low Country of South Carolina, there was always an abundance of nature every direction you turn. With Jack Hannah and Steve Irwin as my idols of influence, my love and respect for plants and animals grew. I took an interest in insects, reptiles, and all things crawly and wild early on. Exploring woods, marshlands, and swamps became a pastime as I grew into my teens, cautiously observing many species along the way. Occasionally, I would get a disposable camera and do my best to capture the scenes experienced on my ventures. Though they never truly showed what was felt and seen, the spark was there.
A few years later I was gifted a digital camera. That changed so much for me and I greatly cherished it. I took pictures of so many things, that I'm sure it annoyed others. Unfortunately that camera met it's demise to a small fall and most of my shots from then were obscure or just lost to time with only a handful still being useable. I would not get another camera for a long time and due to overall circumstances, never saw it as a true life-path.
Now older, I have more experience and confidence in my mind's eye. While there are images of common things, there are still many that are more likely to describe an encounter or emote a feeling beyond what most may take the time or attention to apply on their own. I still explore many wildlands and try to capture as many new and varied moments as I can. I am at the point now that I feel comfortable to share my experiences with the world and appreciate you coming along.

I enjoy finding squirrel evidence. You can see little finger marks from being gripped and savored.
Happenstance can make the best of subjects.
This is a new site and also my first.
I'm looking for feedback.
I have prints and many other images available.
Eventually, I hope to offer in-person tour services, maybe even digital.
